Intervju & möte CHECK!

Tjenamors!

Here we go:

Dear Family

I don’t really know what I can write about myself that you don’t already know from my application. But I’ll will start from the beginning.
My name is Elin Amour and I’m twenty-one years old. I was born on the 20th of december 1990, witch means that by the time I go to America I’ll have turned twenty-two. I live in a place called Tranemo in Sweden, it’s a really small village.

And now to what I think you are most interested in, my experience with children. I have a brother who is a year older than me, unfortunately he has no children. But my mothers cousin have three children that I have played with and taken care of, they never sit still and love new adventures. In February 2012 we were in spain and we did many fun things. We swam in the pool, played miniature golf, picked shells and played until my legs could not manage more.

Then we have Emma and Louize, this is my parents friends children. I've known these two kids since they were babies and have watched them grow up. Now they are eight and six years old, and they love to play with me and of course I love to play with them. We like to be with their pet dogs, cats, horses etc.

So what else can I tell you about me?
I’m a fun, loving, positive person who’s always looking for new activities and new experiences. With that said there are a couple of things that always stay with me. One is my passion for the writing, I really love to write. I think it’s relaxing and a great way to say everything that comes from the heart. I write a diary and then also on a Swedish blog that I have, and this I do every day. Another thing I love is movies. I love watching movies and the fact it gives you an opportunity to esacpe the real world for a couple of hours and just get completely absorbed in someone else’s problem (even tough they’re fictional). I went from high school in 2010 and then I was trained pastry chef, but I have chosen not to work with that. But I love working in practice and to always have something to do.

So now you’re wondering how I came to choose the Au Pair In America programme. Well, for the past year I’ve been walking around wondering what I should do with my life. I’ve taken any job I could get my hands on hoping it would give me some inspiration to what I want to do. And everywhere I go people are telling me I should go back to school and get a degree and "make something of myself". And yes, I do want to do all those things, but I also want to travel and see the world and experience new things, and I want to do it while I’m still young enough to do it.
And that’s how I found Au Pair in America. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for me to do all those things I’ve been wanting to. And at the same time I get to live in a family where I can grow and make myself useful. It will be the biggest adventure and the biggest challenge I’ve ever been on and I can’t wait for it to start.

Thank you for your time and I looking forward to hearing from you!

Yours sincerely
Elin
